Rock a My Soul
August 9, 2020 – August 23, 2020
In Luke 16, Jesus tells a story of a rich man and a poor man
who both die and end up in different places.
The poor man, Lazarus, is seen at Abraham’s side – or the bosom of
Abraham. The old spiritual song, “Rock a My Soul in the bosom of Abraham”
refers to this passage. We will study
the meaning behind this story – the places that are described for these two men
and the importance of the story for Jesus’ audience.
