Out of the
Whirlwind
April 15, 2012 -
There are
several places in the Bible where God himself speaks about “who He is.” Probably one of the most vivid examples is
found in Job 38-42. God is speaking from
out of a whirlwind before Job, questioning him and demanding answers from
him. And it is not so much God saying,
“Look at what all I can do,” rather,
He seems to be admonishing Job to say, “Look at what all you cannot do!” In the
course of God’s questioning, God presents
a piece of the vast gulf that lies between God and man.
