HaShem – The Name

Throughout the Hebrew Scripture, there are many names
ascribed to God – names which are actually attributes of God. As man, we are confined to using words to
describe the indescribable, so we do the best we can. The Jews have always treated the name of God
as reverent and holy – often referring to Him only as HaShem
– The Name. We will look at many of the
names of God and the meaning behind them so that we too, may get closer to Him.
