Atonement
January 22, 2023 – February 26, 2023
Jesus was
crucified on a cross. Biblical as well as extra-Biblical evidence supports this
fact. But of all the foundational beliefs of the Christian faith, the atonement
seems to be the most troublesome for Christians to explain & for
non-believers to accept. Why? There is violence, blood, humiliation involved –
is that a loving God who would allow such things against His only Son? We will
study the basis and meaning for Christ’s sacrifice and try to understand the
true meaning of His precious blood.
