Abraham’s
Test

Abraham
is widely known as the Father of 3 faiths – Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
Scripturally, what is it that gives him that distinction? At the foundation is
Abraham’s belief in God and God’s promises – his faith. But in many examples throughout the Bible, God
tests the faith of individuals. It may
be argued that Abraham’s test was the most severe of all. And if an untested
faith is no faith at all, then it may be that Abrahams
faith was the greatest of all. We will study Genesis 22 and look at Abraham’s
test.
